Basketball ACT was inundated with interest when it held its first Level 1 Score-table Course in four years on Wednesday 1 February 2023. The level of interest required Basketball ACT to close registrations early, and move the course to the much larger venue of the Gold Room at the AIS.

The Score-table Course saw 65 participants take part in a 2-hour course that culminated in a 40 questions open book exam, which made all the groups collaborate.

Maddi Thacker, who recently represented Basketball ACT as a Score-table Official at the FIBA Women’s World Cup in Sydney, was flooded with questions from participants about her experiences and opportunities.

As a result of the course, Basketball ACT were able to provide all participants with Level 1 Score-table Accreditation, which is a massive increase on previous numbers.

And with so much interest in the Score-table Course, Basketball ACT is already seeking Expressions of Interest (EOI) from participants for a second course, which will be held in the lead-up to the commencement of Basketball ACT’s Winter Season competitions.
