Members Services Officer (MSO)

Basketball ACT is seeking interested applicants wishing to be added to our casual pool of Members Services Officers (MSO’s) to assist in overseeing the running of competition venues.

Reporting to the Competition’s Manager, the MSO is the first point of contact for competition and facility matters at Belconnen and Tuggeranong, and other venues as required.

Development Coach (Casual)

Basketball ACT are currently recruiting enthusiastic and engaging Development Coaches to help drive the love and passion of basketball for kids at the beginner and intermediate skill level stage.

Becoming a Development Coach is a great way to build experience in the coaching field and contribute to the growth of the game. 

Shifts are available across weekdays and weekends at various locations around Canberra.

EXPRESSION OF INTEREST (EOI) – BACT Board – Appointed Director Position – Nominations

Basketball ACT invites applications from eligible individuals who wish to be considered for an Appointed Director position. A copy of the Appointed Director advertisement is attached below, please be encouraged to circulate to anyone you may know who would be interested and suitable. 

Candidates with relevant qualifications and experience in a similar or larger sized organisation will be highly regarded. All candidates must have a genuine interest in, and a broad understanding of, Basketball in Australia or the wider sporting community, strong business acumen supported by demonstrable strategic aptitude, financial literacy, a sound understanding of good governance and well-developed communication skills.

Through filling an Appointed Director position, the Board of Basketball ACT is seeking to address the following:

  • The need for a person with professional experience in the development of strategy.
  • Increasing the diversity of the Board, in respect to diversity indicators other than gender.
