With the well-publicised lack of indoor facilities placing pressure on many sporting associations’ ability to service and support their members and the wider community, Basketball ACT welcomes the next stage of a recent petition that is calling on the ACT Government to invest in a multi-purpose indoor facility in the Woden area.

The petition, to be tabled in the ACT Legislative Assembly on 30 November 2021, has garnered significant support from numerous local sporting associations, as well as attracting over 2000 signatures from across the community.

Member for Murrumbidgee, Emma Davidson MLA, has been a key driving force of the petition, alongside Woden Valley Community Council, with Basketball ACT one of the first signatures.
