UPDATE – 18 October 2021

With ACT Government roadmap out of lockdown in place, Basketball ACT has now been able to formulate our Competition Return to Play details for all competitions that were put on hold.

Dates have been finalised to allow for a return to training in the first instance, with competition rounds of the 2021 Premier League Competition scheduled to coincide with the next phase of the ACT Government’s roadmap.

Basketball ACT is updating all COVID Safety procedures and protocols, which will incorporate any additional restrictions.

Key information for the 2021 Premier League Competition

Trainings

  • Senior Premier League squads will be able to book courts for trainings through Basketball ACT on a “first in/first served” basis.
  • Clubs will be limited to one session per squad per week.
  • Basketball ACT will communicate separately the processes around making these bookings.
  • The first week of training will only be on the outdoor court in Belconnen due to indoor facilities not being able to operate at this point in time.
  • Any Senior Premier League squads that book their training and do not show up will be charged $25.

Competitions

  • Premier 2 will commence 11 November 2021.
  • Premier 1 will commence 17 November 2021.
  • Teams will have the opportunity to train twice prior to restarting the competition, as per above.
