The Canberra Gunners have cleaned up in the NBL1 Easts Awards, with the team receiving recognition in multiple categories.

The winners are headlined by star guard Will Mayfield taking home the Defensive Player of the Year, and Head Coach Pete Herek being named Coach of the Year.

Mayfield underlined his standing in the League by finishing second to Illawarra Hawks veteran Todd Blanchfield as the NBL1 East MVP, while he was also named in the All Star Five alongside Gunners captain Glenn Morison.

21 year-old Cam Pender was also named among five Young Player of the Year nominees.
