Scoretable Positions
Most Score tables at local and rep level will have 4 positions. The positions are Scorer, Assistant Scorer, Timekeeper and 24 second operator.
Scorer:
Responsible for maintaining the official scoresheet or online system, recording points, fouls, timeouts, and substitutions accurately.
Assistant Scorer:
Assists the scorer and will operate the scoreboard. This role only operates the points on the board and will communicate the game to the scorer
Timer:
Manages the game clock, ensuring it starts and stops according to the referee’s signals. Often also operates the scoreboard.
24 Second Operator:
The whole job for the 24 Second/Shot Clock operator is to run the shot clock, It is very important that they know the FIBA rule book so they know when to pause, stop, reset and run the shot clock.
The scoretable operates many different systems including PlayHQ, scoreboard systems, and shot clock operations. Below are various documents to assist in using these systems.
