Scoretable Expression of Interest
Scoretable is an excellent way to participate in basketball beyond coaching, playing, and refereeing, is becoming a scoretable official. This is a great method for learning, comprehending and appreciate the game of basketball. The scoretable work in partnership with the referees to officiate the match, this is an opportunity to watch a game, earn money and to have the best seats in the house.

Scoretable Course EOIScoretable Pathway:
Joining Basketball ACT’s Scoretable team provides pathways for scoretable officials from officiating their first game of basketball through to being a FIBA accredited official.
Basketball ACT provides scoretable assistance in developing their skills and improving their knowledge. Once the official shows their knowledge and scoretable understanding, they will then progress to the next level.
To gain your Level 1 qualification, you are needing to do a 2.5 hour course in person and also successfully pass the open book exam.
Then you will begin to be rostered to our Senior Premier League competition/s on Wednesday and Thursday nights also some opportunities may arise in our Senior Waratah League roster.
BACT will then identify you when you are ready for the Level 2 course.
Level 2 scoretable official has now been exposed to our Waratah League and been successful in passing competencies in all individual positions.
The Level 2 course you must attend a half-day course and complete and pass the Level 2 exam.
Officials will then begin to be rostered onto NBL1 Games and again be assessed in each position, also selection for National Championships and WNBL may be opportunities also.
Level 3 scoretable official is the highest state based qualification you can receive this entails the compilation of both a theory course and the Level 3 exam.
Once completing this course this now allows the official to be rostered to the NBL1, Senior Waratah League, and also exposure to NBL and WNBL appointments.
These appointments to National Leagues are done by the WNBL and NBL respectively.
FIBA qualification is the highest qualification you can receive and these appointments are done by Basketball Australia and FIBA, and opportunities may arise to be selected at FIBA Events:
e.g.: FIBA World Cup, FIBA Asia Cup, Olympics etc.
Scoretable Courses:
Level 1 is an introductory scoretable course containing the basic rules, game administration and scoretable roles. Once you have completed the course, you will learn on the domestic competitions alongside experienced officials.
